Intro to Powerboats

Intro to Powerboats is a basic course which exposes you to the theory and operation of a type of powerboat commonly used by yacht clubs for their Race Committee patrols.

Patrol boats are an important part of racing which makes power boating a good skill for race committee volunteers.

This course will help you learn the ins and outs of operating a powerboat. It is designed to provide introductory training to people who wish to serve on the race committee at a club, such as our own Manhattan Yacht Club.

Intro to Powerboats is a first step and our school may add more advanced powerboat training later. This Intro Course does not come with any ASA certifications. After completing this Intro Course, students may also need a state issued powerboat license.
